Just a very quick update to let you know that although the MQRs have not come in yet, the Titanium Keyrings and All-Weather Notebooks did. These are ADD-ONS that some of you have purchased on BackerKit to ship along with your MQR rewards.

All-Weather Notebooks & Titanium Keyrings ADD-ONS
The All-Weather Notebook has always existed as part of the ZEROHOUR family of products but they been SOLD OUT for several months since the last Kickstarter project. We are happy to announce that as of today we have shipped out the remaining All-Weather Notebook BACK-ORDERS from the last project (to those who have been waiting, thank you for your continued patience!) For everyone else, we hope to have good news to share soon about MQR and when those can be expected to come in.
BackerKit Surveys 📝
The current count is 2,479 completed surveys out of 2,673. This is a pretty good percentage but this means there are still 193 stragglers that need to complete their BackerKit Surveys. When the MQRs come in, we will be locking down BackerKit for those that have completed their surveys and we will begin the shipping phase for them. So even if the stragglers don't complete it by then, no worries, it will not hold up everyone else's rewards. We are essentially moving forward regardless.
If you feel like you have not yet provided us your shipping address and/or browsed optional ADD-ONS through BackerKit, please do it now by visiting: https://zerohour-mqr.backerkit.com and entering in your Kickstarter email address. A link will then be emailed to you. Most important is your shipping address so we know where to ship your rewards. We understand that some backers are not answering their surveys because you may be in the process of moving locations, if this is the case, you can hold off until you are absolutely sure about your shipping address.

On a side-note if you are looking to grab other ZEROHOUR products such as a set of these newly re-stocked All-Weather Notebooks right now and not through BackerKit (and before MQRs come in), you can find them on ZeroHourEDC.com. Unfortunately, if you choose this route you will have to pay for any applicable shipping fees again. We are not able to honor partial shipments and/or the ability to ship BACKERKIT ADD-ONS before MQRscome in stock,we prefershipping everything all togetherwhen it is time. Thank you for understanding.
We know it is hard to see from the photos but we took the extra step and had our manufacturing partner round off the edges a little so they have a bit more of a smooth feel. In the prototypes the edge was a "straighter cut" and we simply didn't like how it felt when running our fingertips along the sides. We think you will appreciate this subtle upgrade.

Kickstarter has successfully collected pledges and will now release the funds to us so we can move on to the next step! 🤗
Payment Summary
Once in awhile we like to share some behind the scenes with our backers to give a taste of what we see on the back-end. Here is a screen shot or our payment summary page:
After we receive the funds to our bank, majority of it will go to our manufacturing partners; for the product itself, any engineering costs if still owed, CNC machining and/or tooling costs, and inbound & outbound shipping costs, etc.
Fun Fact: Running a project from start to finish is a lot of work (and can be fun as well!) but from our experience, project creators seldom make enough to pay themselves from the campaign funds alone. So the question then becomes then why do it? Well, because we are passionate about creating products, we love what we do and we know that if we continue to deliver exceptional products it will pay off in the long run through other sales channels (e.g. our online store, Amazon, Etsy, BackerKit, etc.) 🙏 With that said, our BackerKit Survey and Pre-Order Store setup is almost complete and we hope to have everyone's support on there once it is ready.
BackerKit Surveys
In just a few days we will be sending everyone invitations to our BackerKit Survey and Pre-Order Store. We will also post instructions on how to retrieve your BackerKit link in a future backer update. On BackerKit you will be able to confirm your pledge reward, purchase optional ADD-ONS (this helps us a lot!), and give us your shipping address so we know where to send your reward.

Funds released! BackerKit Invitations on the way

Hey Backers,
Just wanted to share the good news that Kickstarter has just released the funds to us and we are now sending out BackerKit Survey invitations!
Smoke Test 💨
BackerKit requires that we send out a smoke test first. This is basically sending out invitations to just 5% of backers from each pledge level in the campaign. It is a way for us to catch any errors and make sure things run smoothly before inviting everyone else. If you have received this invitation, please move forward and answer the survey and browse optional ADD-ONS just as you normally would. Feel free to share your experience with us if you come across something that does not look right. Otherwise, thank you for your patience as we prepare to send out the rest of the invites.
SHIPPING ETA ⏱️
We have received word that the MQRs should be all completed with manufacturing and packaging by this coming weekend. If this is the case then we could expect them to arrive to us here in California by the end of this month. We hope we can begin the shipping phase in the month of May. Since there are going to be thousands of packages to prepare, it is possible we will need the entire month of May to finish. We still have a very small team here but we will work as fast as possible to get these into your hands!

If you do not see an invitation by email tomorrow morning, you can manually request your special access link by following the instructions below:
3. BackerKit will email you your special link to the survey (be sure to check your SPAM folder as well)
4. Answer the survey question(s) regarding our PayPal Checkout payment option for ADD-ONS. Browse our ADD-ONS, enter in your shipping address, and complete a PayPal Checkout payment (if you have a balance due), and finally click on Place My Order.
5. Be sure to enter in your current shipping address so we know where to send your reward when it's time. However, if you move or need to update your address in the future, you will have the opportunity when we send out a final email notice 48 hours before we lock-down BackerKit and begin shipping rewards.
In order to get an accurate count of everything, please answer your survey in a timely manner. Please send us a private message here on Kickstarter or leave us a comment below if you are having issues and we will assist you.

WE DID IT!!! 🤗
The ZEROHOUR MQR campaign closed with 2,672 backers and $124,130 in pledges! That's over 7,000+ MQRs! 😮 We’re excited to deliver a superior Magnetic Quick Release to the Kickstarter community!
We hope to have a speedy production and delivery process, but we need your help. Now that our campaign has ended, Kickstarter is going to need 14 days to collect pledges and release the funds to us. At that time we will be able to send out BackerKit Survey invitations. You will be able to confirm your pledge reward, browse and select ADD-ONS, and provide us your shipping address.
Please be on the lookout for this important email approx. 2 weeks from now. We will also send a backer update when the invitations go out. 👍
TIMELINE
We are now working with our manufacturing partners to get a more concrete estimated delivery timeline but we feel confident we can begin shipping out rewards the first week of June (hopefully sooner!) In the meantime, we are waiting for a sample of our retail packaging design and will share that with you soon. Please stay tuned for our next backer update!
